Community Conversation on RECREATION

​Crook County is growing with much interest in many varieties of outdoor recreation around the Watershed. How are City, County, State and Federal lands being managed and developed to provide access to citizens in a balanced and thoughtful way? 

​Join us for this September Community Conversation learn about different ways of recreating in the watershed and ask local leadership about current and future plans.

Invited Guests were on hand to answer community questions around:
  • Crook County on the Move. Making healthy lifestyle changes easy and fun!
  • Prineville Wetlands Complex. Recreate by volunteering around the wetlands.
  • ODFW and USFS - Learn about trail siting that minimizes pressure on wildlife.
  • Prineville Bird Club. Learn about birdwatching opportunities throughout the watershed.
  • Central Oregon Trail Alliance - Learn about creation and stewardship of sustainable, human powered trails.
  • Oregon Equestrian Trails. Horse camping around the watershed.
  • Think Wild. Recreating around wildlife.
  • Ochoco Preserve. What's coming up for walking trails and recreation around the Preserve.
  • Oregon Hunter's Association - Conservation efforts.
  • NW Steelheaders Association and Little Leaf Guide Service
  • Lauman Training. How mustangs can be an amazing trail partner.
  • ​Ochoco Trails. Facilitating collaboration among trail user groups in Crook County.
